Aldo Vagnozzi Begins Run For State House - Literally
Journey To Help Oakland County Families Begins With A
Single Step At Farmington City Hall
FARMINGTON – Candidate for the Michigan House of Representatives Aldo
Vagnozzi set off on a five-day journey from Farmington to Lansing today.
He will be running in the 37th District, which includes Farmington and
Farmington Hills. Vagnozzi, the former mayor of Farmington Hills, plans on
walking the entire way, nearly an 80 mile trek, and is scheduled to finish
on Wednesday, May 15. His tour will include stops at the Farmington Health
Care Center, the Ford Wixom Assembly Plant, Lake Chemung State Park in
Livingston County, Michigan State University, and everywhere in between.
“There is no expressway to easing the problems facing Michigan’s working
families,” said Vagnozzi. “There are no quick fixes for health care, the
environment, and education. I am in it for the long haul.”
Aldo Vagnozzi is committed to:
• Ensuring that every Oakland County family has access to quality,
affordable health care, especially senior citizens and children;
• Guaranteeing equal opportunity for all of Michigan’s children by making
sure that the state fully funds public schools. He is also in favor of
smaller class sizes and higher academic standards, so that the youth of
Oakland County will be better prepared to take on the challenges of the
new millennium; and,
• Protecting the environment by eliminating sewage dumping and fighting
polluters every step of the way. The ending of slant drilling in the Great
Lakes was a good start, but that’s what it is – a start.
“I look forward to arriving in Lansing on the 15th and sharing some of my
ideas with members of the House,” said Vagnozzi. “It’s time for
legislators who place a higher priority on the problems of special
interest groups than those of working families to take a hike.”
Aldo Vagnozzi’s progress on his journey to Lansing can be checked at his
website, www.aldovagnozzi.com. It will be updated daily.
